MISSION
The mission of the Arkansas Center for Independence is to provide day-to-day support, services, and employment to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to improve their daily life skills and become more independent and fully integrated into society.
OUR COMMITMENT
The Arkansas Center for Independence recognizes the value of family life and encourages all families to be involved in the development of individual programs plans, selection of services and medical care for your loved one.
  • We believe that family involvement is crucial to the success of the individual and his or her integration into the community.
  • We understand it is not always feasible for family to be around; however, we welcome and encourage families to visit their loved one and our other consumers both at our day facility and at his/her group home.
  • Each individual is embraced as family at ACI with every staff member knowing their name, personality, and specific needs. With a low staff-to-client ratio, this attention to detail allows for a greater level of individual care to be given.
  • ACI is able to boast an average staff tenure of over 11 years in our programs, with several employees having over 20 years of experience. Our staff truly love what they do and it shows!
Compassion

We exercise patience and compassion as we help people learn new skills, develop friendships, and give back to the community.

Dignity

Respect

We respect the unique talents, skills, and challenges of each person, and provide the specialized services they need to achieve optimal independence and happiness.

Responsiveness

We are flexible and responsive to the changing needs of the people we support, and we continuously adapt our services to suit their specific abilities, requirements, and requests.

Sensitivity

We provide support with invaluable guidance and sensitivity as the people we work for take an active role in their community.
